A Future Home Rooted in History and Looking Toward the Future

The future End-of-Life Care Home has been an integral part of Aux trois sentiers’ vision and mission since the organization was founded. Conceived as an essential pillar of the continuum of palliative and end-of-life care outside hospital settings, it will complement the services already offered to patients and their loved ones.

The Cité-des-Hospitalières has emerged as the ideal location for our future Home, offering a uniquely supportive environment for this important stage of life:

Key Support for the Project

In 2025, the Home project received the support of key stakeholders connected to the exceptional Cité-des-Hospitalières site.

  • The City of Montreal, owner of the property, has expressed its support for the creation of a palliative care hub on the site.
  • The Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph, founders of the site and stewards of its heritage, have expressed their desire to establish a partnership with Aux trois sentiers as a natural continuation of their longstanding commitment to palliative and end-of-life care.
