We are writing to express our strong support for Aux trois sentiers, an organization whose mission to accompany, support, and empower individuals and families through compassionate, community‑based services has made a profound difference in our lives.
Through our firsthand experience with my father, Mario Sellato’s, at‑home palliative care, we came to truly understand and deeply appreciate the mission and values of Aux trois sentiers. The organization consistently embodies compassion, inclusion, respect, and an unwavering commitment to human dignity—not only for patients, but also for their caregivers.
Aux trois sentiers recognizes that palliative care extends beyond medical needs. Their approach ensures meaningful support and guidance for families navigating extraordinarily difficult circumstances. They cared not only for my father with dignity and compassion, but also for my mother, Carmen Sellato, who was his primary caregiver. The attention given to her well‑being was both genuine and invaluable.
When facing impossible decisions and striving to honor a loved one’s wish to remain at home during their final months, families often find themselves overwhelmed, with limited resources and support available only to those who can afford private services. Aux Trois Sentiers opened the door to a level of professionalism, support, and care that went far beyond our expectations. Doctors, nurses, social workers, and care workers worked collaboratively, treating us like family and ensuring my father was cared for with the utmost respect and dignity.
Even after my father’s passing, the care did not end. My mother continued to receive weekly phone calls and visits to check on her emotional well‑being—a testament to the organization’s continued commitment to families beyond loss.
For all these reasons, we offer our wholehearted support for Aux trois sentiers and sincerely hope their essential work continues to reach families in need.
Sincerely,
Brigida Sellato
